Climate change and the degradation and depletion of natural resources (minerals, biodiversity, etc.) have become major challenges for humanity. Mitigating and adapting to climate change and adopting a more frugal and sustainable approach to managing resources are now imperatives. This concerns not only traditional environmental disciplines but other roles too, meaning that education and training programmes need to evolve accordingly.
