Physics, Optics

The most fundamental of all the sciences, physics touches every major aspect of our lives: the fight against global warming, security (design of physical systems), the circular economy (e.g. in predicting the life cycle of materials, or transforming biomass), energy (e.g. nanostructured materials for photovoltaic cells), medicine. It therefore constitutes a core component of the majority of the courses offered by the ParisTech schools, in particular the optics programmes run by the Institut d’Optique graduate school.
