In order to address the major challenges facing society today (climate change, the industry of the future, etc.) and to develop new technologies, such as artificial intelligence and big data, engineers and scientists must ask themselves questions relating to human factors (ethics, responsibility, etc.) and learn how to manage scientific progress to best serve humanity. Management, statistics and economics (among other fields) have therefore become essential components of all of the engineering and advanced master’s courses offered by the ParisTech schools.
