The teaching, in French and in English, combines the contributions of economic and social sciences (economics, administration, sociology and political science, and, to a lesser extent, anthropology, geography and history).
The courses focus on concepts and key problems and present the essential methods of investigation (particularly statistical) so that the students learn to design, implement and publish scientific research.
The seminars are also a chance for students to present the current condition of their research and to develop their proficiency and know-how in scientific work (describe, explain, understand and criticize).
This multidisciplinary program, rooted in a “learn by doing” approach to research, is designed to train a new generation of researchers and experts, able to provide fresh insight into the policies, institutions, organizations and other forces that play a critical role in the contemporary economy.
This master's degree is primarily addressed at students who wish to undertake a scientific career in higher-education or research institutions. It also trains executives, both public and private (research managers, analysts, project managers) with the scientific spirit required to meet the organizational and political challenges with which contemporary societies are confronted.
