Due to the exceptionally high number of students traveling to Paris for the November ATHENS Session, the number of spots available at the in-person rate of €12 per person is limited. We therefore encourage you to register AS SOON AS POSSIBLE for the reserved slots for the following guided tours.

How to Book

  1. Select the neighborhood of your choice from the links below.
  2. Choose March 17, 2025, as the date (this is just a technical requirement—your tour will be on November 17th).
  3. Pick your preferred time slot

Once booked, you will receive a confirmation email with your ticket and meeting point details. You do not need to bring the ticket on the day of the tour, as we will already have a list of participants. Simply provide your name upon arrival.

    Book Montmartre Tour
  • Le Marais: Meet outside "Saint-Paul" metro station (Line 1).

The tours will take place on November 17th, so be sure to ignore the date on the booking page and only select the time slot that suits you.

If the tour you wish to take is fully booked for Sunday, we encourage you to reserve another time slot during the week based on your availability.

The rate for participation outside of the reserved slots is €17 per person.

If you don’t manage to book your place on the website even though you followed the instructions mentioned above (and only then), please follow these two steps:

The Parisian schools do not reserve housing. However, please find below a list of hotels that we recommend:

You are yourself responsible for contacting and booking the accommodation. There is no special price for ATHENS students.

You are free to book any hotel you like, or to choose any other type of accommodation. For financial reasons, you might want to team up with other students and book an accommodation together, for example via airbnb.

Please pay attention to book housing with flexible cancellation policy, as neither your home nor host university can grant you a refund in case of cancellation of courses, or switch to online courses.

Don’t forget to check where the Parisian institution you are going to is located! You can find the addresses here.

You can buy travel tickets in any Métro or/and RER station in an automated terminal (cash/credit card).

A ticket is valid for one ride only till you get out of the Métro/RER station and can’t be combined with Trams/Buses.

To prepare for your rides, refer to SNCF Transilien Route planner and / or download the Mobile application “Bonjour RATP” and search for “fastest” connection from “my location” even to “destination address”.

 Price list :

  • one way ticket costs 2.15€ Same tickets can be used for buses/trams (same price ticket, one ride only). You can also purchase a booklet of 10 tickets (referred to as "carnet"), which costs around €17.35, making each ticket slightly cheaper at approximately €1.73.
  • The Navigo Découverte card offers a flexible way to travel around Paris and its neighboring suburbs. The weekly pass for the Navigo Découverte costs €30.75 and provides unlimited travel across all zones (1-5) for the duration of the week, from Monday to Sunday. However, it’s important to note that the pass can only be purchased starting the Friday before the travel week. We suggest you to buy this ticket, specially if you’re located far from Paris (Palaiseau) as it is valid as well to go to AgroParisTech or Télécom Paris.
  • For sports people! Bike-sharing system (VELIB’) : Tickets can be bought at any of 1800 stations in the city. 5€ for 24-hours ticket. Or the weekly subscription for Vélib' in Paris costs €8.00. This allows for unlimited rentals within the week, with the first 30 minutes of each trip being free. After that, the fees for additional time are structured as follows:
  • First additional half-hour: +€1.00
  • Second additional half-hour: +€2.00
  • Each subsequent half-hour: +€4.00
