ParisTech is highly involved in China, with a permanent office and representative in Shanghai
ParisTech commitment to China, and to develop the impact of its Grande Ecoles abroad, is built around many activities.
The 50 engineers' program (p50i), also known as the 9+9 program
This program originally partnered ParisTech with some major Chinese universities through framework agreements:
- In Beijing: Tsinghua University, Peking University, China Agricultural University
- In Shanghai: Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Fudan University, Tongji University
- In Nanjing: Nanjing University, SouthEast University, Nanjing Agricultural University
- In Wuhan: Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology
- In Hanzhou: Zhejiang University
Now opened to students from all Chinese universities, this program allows top students to candidate simultaneously to 6 of ParisTech schools for admission into a 2-year education program at master level (“Diplôme d’ingénieur").
Each year, nearly one hundred Chinese students with a Bachelor's degree are admitted via this program.
The ParisTech – CSC doctoral program
ParisTech and the China Scholarship Council (CSC) signed in 2011 an agreement to create a PhD program in France. Since the implementation of the program in 2013, 130 students have been admitted in the program to complete their PhD within one of the ParisTech Schools laboratories.
This program is open to highly qualified Chinese students interested in carrying on doctoral training in a ParisTech school with the CSC financial support.
As part of this program, students have also the possibility to complete a co-supervised PhD in collaboration between their home research group in China and their host laboratory in France.
